The situation
A storefront built around choosing your own box.
The shop had outgrown a plugin-based setup. In a build-your-own-box flow the cart holds a configured box rather than a list of SKUs, and most plugin stacks handle that badly.

Approach
The founder's portfolio describes a custom Next.js storefront, a build-your-own-box flow and administration tools. On the public store, customers choose candy and order in one flow.

The stack, and why
A custom Next.js, React and TypeScript storefront. The box configurator drove the move away from plugins. Building it as application state is less work than bending a generic cart around it, and it avoids plugin-compatibility problems at upgrade time.

After launch
The store is operated through its own administration rather than a plugin dashboard, which keeps the box logic and the order records in one place.
A custom store build covering the customer-facing shop and the admin tools behind it. We make no claim here about revenue or conversion uplift.
